The result of over twenty-five years of dedicated research, interviews and compilation of materials by Morteza Hosseini Dehcordi has resulted in a six volume series about classical as well as popular Iranian music. It covers a time period of over 150 years.

This 6 volume series includes biographies and works of composers, musicians, vocalists, songwriters, musical prodigies and virtuosos. It also includes musical notes of popular pieces, the works, lives and times of prominent artists, and much more relevant information. Suffice to say that this is an invaluable masterpiece that commemorates and memorializes significant contributions to Iranian arts and culture.

Mohammad Hossein Ebneyousef provided invaluable assistance with editing and publication of the series, two volumes of which are already in print with the third going to print soon, and the last three volumes to follow in the near future.
